The phrase, 'your hand in mine,' defines a relationship between two bodies, two points connect. The phrase takes four words in English, three in Arabic and two in Hebrew. In Arabic and Hebrew the phrase is nearly identical. The grid is 225 points and words are the size of a nail or a finger part between knuckles. It's an intimate scale and the words float off the wall. One work from the edition hangs in my living room over a desk light. The shadows cast upwards like an explosion. In the installation above, three tones of white lights cast shadows that create another layer of relationships between the words.
